I decided that working in an English language school, I could and should improve my English.In my GCSE's exams at school I did OK, but i knew i could do better and i wanted to prove to myself that i could.In September 2008 i started an English Literacy class (advanced level), at night school, to see if i could improve on my school grades.I studied hard and sat my exam at the beginning of January 2009.On January 23 (my birthday) this year, i got a telephone call to say that i had passed my exam This week i received my official certificate from the examination board and i am now the proud owner of a City & Guilds qualification, which is equivalent to a UK GCSE grade A*- C.At least now i can feel good about helping students with their vocabulary and grammar!Polly - Accommodation Manager
