Thinking of finding a part-time job while studying in London? Not sure where to start? We interviewed one of our Advanced students, Tomas Cerych, about his experience of finding work in London.
How long have you been at EC?
4 months in Malta, 3 months in London.
Why did you decide to find a job in London?
I want to spend several years in the UK which means that i have to live on my income.
How did you find a job in London?
I just walked in and dropped off my CV
What is your job like?
A sales assistant in a shop with outdoor equipment.
How do you find balancing your job and your studies?
Quite difficult because i work 37 hours a week so i don't really have time for studying but it's because i work so many hours. With 20 hours a week, i could cope with no problems.
