Boston is known for it’s North End neighborhood also  known as “Little Italy”

It is here where you will find the oldest part of Boston as well as little italian pastry shops and stores.

Each August there are feast festivals that happen throughout the weekends and the last one was last night which was the Feast of Saint Lucy (Santa Lucia).

Students were treated to live music and great food and got to take part in a very Bostonian experience!

Navigating Boston: Pocket MBTA

A simple and intuitive Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority application for the iPhone and iPod touch. Now supports all lines!

- Get arrival times based on actual vehicle locations (powered by NextBus)
- Find the stops closest to you
- Find stops near an address or intersection
- Add favorite routes and stops, and view their arrival times concurrently
- View map locations of routes, stops, and vehicles

Arrival times can be accessed using WiFi, 3g, and Edge. Route and stop information is saved on your device so you can view them offline. If MBTA has a major route change, simply press one button and Pocket MBTA will download all of the updates.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Vehicle locations are not supported for every line. This will NOT affect the accuracy of displayed arrival times.

Meet Maria Alejandra – this month’s ECelebrity!

She was nominated because of all the help she’s done this past summer – from helping out with the kid’s program, help setting up Welcome breakfasts, and taking part in our EC Conversation Partner Program.

Maria Alejandra is from Colombia and has been at EC Boston since February 2011.
