This week EC Cambridge has launched Guided E-Learning!

E-learning is a web based system designed to aid students with their learning of a foreign Language.

Its easy to register and is 100% free!

Once you have registered you can brush up on your English before you have arrived at the school, use it as a tool once you are here to develop and maintain your skills and even use it after you leave  to keep what you have learnt fresh in your mind!

Also, you can use the sight to keep up to date on all goings on at EC, see all events coming up and even request student letters, holidays and book appointments to see both academic and accommodation staff!

For more information look out for posters and fliers throughout both buildings or speak to Mike or Sarah in the office building!

Football Update

For all you keen Sportsmen, just a quick update on our weekly football on a Sunday with Teacher James! Due to the wonderful English Weather the time is changing from 14:30 to 13:30 to start!

This Weeks Musicals!

This Wednesday we offer Trips to two different Musicals in the West End of London!

The first on offer is Disney’s African epic ,The Lion King, £46.00. The price includes transfers to and from the theatre and of course the ticket for the musical. An amazing combination of acting, singing and scenery!

Also we offer a trip to see Grease. This classic American film has been turned into one of London’s highest grossing musicals with its classic Rock ‘n’ Roll style. A real bargain at £42.00 and again price includes transfers to and from the theatre and the ticket for the musical!

This weekend, courtesey of travelsights, we offer trips to Windsor, Norwich and Bath and Stonehenge!

Royal Windsor & Castle Windsor stands majestically on one bank of the River Thames. We have an impressive self-guided audiotour of the castle ( included) which is home to the Royal Family. Norwich The principal city in East Anglia and for many years the second city in England, Norwich is full of Saxon and Norman history as can be seen from its castle, Cathedral and city walls. Bath & Stonehenge Bath is Britain’s most beautiful city. Take this opportunity to visit one of the most archaeologically diverse colleges in Cambridge, 15th to 20th Centuries. See it’s coutyards, the Bridge of Sighs and the river gardens.

Also we visit the Sedgewick Museum. he Sedwick Museum in Cambridge is one of the best geological museums in the country. Exhibitions of fossil records take visitors on a trip through time from the earliest life on earth, to the origins of modern life. The fossils are arranged by age. You can simply walk from one display cabinet to the next following the ages through.

Outside your English Language Classes we like to give you the opportunity to meet other students and talk English together.

This week we have free trips for you to enjoy, including the Archaeology Museum, Zoology museum and Great St Marys Tower.

Visit the Zoology museum Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday Morning  and find a specimen of every group of animal and find out their evolutionary relationship.

On Tuesday morning and Wednesday afternoon visit the Archaeology and Anthropology Museum. The University of Cambridge Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology holds over 35,000 objects from South, South East and East Asia in their anthropological collection.

And on Thursday afternoon we have our weekly trip to Great St Marys Tower!

Meet outside the school and there is no need to register.
