Find out what’s happening in our school!
A group of students walked up Lion’s Head yesterday with Seb – one of our more energetic teachers and were rewarded with stunning views of the city. The walk is quite demanding but most people who are reasonably fit can do it even if they need a little extra help at the end.
It is one of those ‘Must Do’ activities when you come to Cape Town. Add it to your agenda of things to do while learning English in this wonderful city!
The refurbishment to EC Cape Town’s student lounge is almost complete. We have continued with our African theme and also included bar stools and a table so that students can eat whilst watching our flat screen TV. In addition they can also relax on the comfortable sofas and generally chill out after a day of learning and studying English!! This is the place to meet your friends before heading out into downtown Cape Town.
We recently had a huge picture put up in our library of a panoramic view of Cape Town. This helps to make studying in the library a very comfortable and relaxing place which will enhance your language learning potential.
Come and see it for yourself!! You are welcome.
We recently had a BIG PICTURE put in reception of EC Cape Town. We are having a new computer area for students installed in front of the picture. There will be 12 additional pc’s in addition to the 10 on the 5th floor. More updates to follow. Watch this space!!!!
EC Cape Town has recently refurbished and restocked its library. We now have a comfortable room where students can study English, read books and do their homework. We have a librarian who helps students make the best decision on what books are suitable for them and sometimes classes take place in the library so that everyone at the school can learn what is on offer. Come and see for yourselves.
Did you see the Confederations Cup in South Africa????
This was a taster for the World Cup next year.
Students at EC Cape Town came to the student lounge to watch the games on our huge flat screen TV accompanied by avid football supporting teachers. Well done to Brazil who won, but note how well South Africa did!!!. Is this a taste of things to come next year!!!
