It’s Sunday morning and you are probably feeling bad after drinking too much Vodka and Redbull last night. No need to worry, you can clear your head and burn off those calories with a pleasant bicycle ride around the countryside and along the cliff tops on the way to our final destination at Golden Bay. The ride isn’t too difficult and you will be provided with a 21-gear mountain bike and helmet. It’ll make you feel fresh and ready for Monday and raring to get back to your English course. Not only is it a great way to see some of the hidden gems of Malta, it’s also good for the environment too.

This fully guided tour includes a 30 minute ferry ride, the quaint harbour of Mgarr, the Azure window(optional),the Citadel and visit the oldest freestanding building in the world: Ggantija Temples (entrance included). The two temples of Ġgantija were erected during the Neolithic Age (c. 3600-2500 BC). At more than 5500 years old, the Ġgantija temples pre-date the Pyramids of Egypt and Stonehenge. The temples were possibly the site of an Earth Mother Goddess Fertility Cult, with numerous figurines and statues found on site believed to be connected with that cult.

Prehistoric Temples with licensed tour guide
The Tarxien Temples are an archaeological complex in the south of Malta. They date back to approximately 2800 BC. The site was accepted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980 along with the other Megalithic temples on the island of Malta.
Excavation of the site reveals that it was used extensively for rituals, which probably involved animal sacrifice.
The temples are Malta’s most important antiquities and are considered to be unique in the world (entrance fee incl.)
We will also visit Ghar Dalam, ‘The Cave of Darkness’ and its fossilized remains of prehistoric animals of the glacial period (entrance fee incl.)

The Siege of Malta (also known as the Great Siege of Malta) took place in 1565 when the Ottoman Empire invaded the island, then held by the Knights.
The siege, one of the bloodiest and most fiercely contested in history, was won by the knights and became one of the most celebrated events of the sixteenth century.
This live show is a fun way to learn some Maltese history. A 50 strong talented cast, 8 magnificent horses, unforgettable music, rich costumes and stunning light and sound effects shall sweep you off your feet as the epic tale of the Great Siege of 1565 unravels right before your very eyes.
