It is the last week in the month of June! America’s Independence day is coming up on July 4th and there will be no school!
Sign up for a chance to learn how to Paddleboard at Mission Beach. On Friday we will celebrate the birthdays of students born in the month of May. We will have some goodies for them to eat.
Hello Students,
Come to the front desk and sign up for the beach sports and bbq party! This will be held today at Mission Bay Aquatic Center in beautiful Mission Bay.
$35 includes:
Free use of the beach
Sports Equipment:
Party starts at 4 – 7 PM
Tomorrow at Dunes Park/Beach (700 Seacoast Dr) in Imperial Beach, you can watch a number of dogs compete in a surf competition at Loews Coronado Bay Surf Dog Competition.
The first round will begin at 11:00AM for the Small Surf Dogs (40 pounds and under). The second round will consist of the Large Surf Dogs (41 pounds and over). Tandem surfing will follow and then the Ultimate Champion Round. All the first place winners from each group will be awarded a prize. The winning dogs will be judged on how they catch their top two waves, confidence level, length of ride and overall ability to ‘grip it and rip it’. The winner of the final round will participate in a photo shoot and lunch. Other prizes include a pet vacation.
General admission is FREE!
The La Jolla Festival of the Arts will be held on Saturday, June 23, 10:00AM – 6:00PM and Sunday, June 24th, 10:00AM – 5:00PM on the beautiful campus of UC San Diego at Warren Field. This festival will feature artists, along with live chalk art creations, art performances, delicious and healthy cuisines, adult beverages, and live entertainment throughout the weekend. Take the opportunity to help support the community, meet special people and enjoy a wonderful day of fun and excitement!
The festival is easily accesible by car and by bus. Take the I-5 to La Jolla Village Drive or Genesse Avenue and follow the signs to 3453 Voigt Drive.
You can also take the bus #30 to Gilman Drive and walk to 3453 Voigt Drive.
