Add some romance to your London trip. England’s beautiful capital is a lovers’ city day or night, any time of year. Dazzle your date with our top five romantic places to visit in London. Your own personal love stories start here:

Whispering Gallery at St Paul’s Cathedral

St. Pauls

Two hundred and fifty nine steps above ground level beneath the dome of St Paul’s Cathedral runs the Whispering Gallery. Whisper into the wall and your partner will hear your quiet words clearly even when stood 30 meters away. St. Paul’s Cathedral is an iconic feature of the London skyline and a significant place in English history. Among other things, this was the location of the ‘fairy tale’ wedding of Prince Charles and Diana in 1981.

Kew Gardens

Recognised as a Unesco World Heritage Site, Kew Gardens in Richmond is a historic and beautiful 1.5km long garden. You and your companion can be inspired by the wonderful Kew Palace, Chinese pagoda, the 18-metre high treetop walkway and the huge variety of flowers and plants on display. The Orangery restaurant is the best of the four Kew Gardens has to offer but skip those in favour of taking your own blanket and picnic to enjoy on the grass.

The London Eye

London Eye

Be up on cloud nine with your love and feel on top of the world as London unfurls below you. Located on the banks of the River Thames on the South Bank, the London Eye gives passengers an amazing 360 degree view of London. For the ultimate romantic experience book a private ‘Cupid Capsule’ and enjoy the 30 minute ride over a bottle of Champagne and truffles.

Rowing on the Serpentine in Hyde Park

What could be more romantic than gliding across the silent waters of a lake? Swap the hustle and bustle of the city for the peace, quiet and privacy of this central London haven. The Serpentine covers 40 acres of Hyde Park right in the centre of the city. The park has plenty of other attractions, and when you are done rowing, the two lakeside restaurants are worth checking out.

Cocktails at Vertigo 42 Champagne Bar

London’s best cocktail bar has spectacular 360-degree panoramic views. Located 182 meters above the city, Vertigo is massively popular with fashionable couples. Choose a glass from over 30 types of Champagne on offer and enjoy the ambiance and night-view in this chic, 5-star bar. A truly magical place to spend an evening.
