I teach at EC because there is a true desire among all the teaching staff to provide students with not only a great English language education but also to give students some insight into the unique and diverse culture of America’s most beautiful city, San Diego.
On staff we have surfers, athletes, writers, musicians, business professionals, and more all who share a love for the English language and a passion for sharing it with open minds. Each teacher offers something unique.
Take myself for instance. I am sports, sports are me, even soccer. Some of my favorite memories are showing students the secret wrist flick that will send a football spiraling or engaging in some serious beach volleyball competition on South Mission Beach a couple miles from school.
On campus, hanging out with students and finding out about what they have experienced and liked about San Diego and then offering some of my own locally inspired suggestions is a highlight that will never get old. To sum up, it’s all about all these people that are running around the halls at a seaside school in a city that couldn’t possibly offer more.
