Antonyms exercise - build your vocabulary

Average: 3.4 (21 votes)

Antonym is a word we use to mean opposite. So if I said, "what's an antonym of old?" you could answer with "new", for example.

Here's a mixed level exercise. I'm interested to know how many you can get right. Can anyone get 10/10?

Good luck!

Very useful exercise,as usual. It's a pity I've got 8/10.Sad It was not difficult, but a lot of new words for me.
My mistakes with the word - GLUM/GOOD-NATURED;
and DESPISE - Why is it LOVE not LIKE? - Worried
Thank you for the Lesson. Smile

Love or like

Despise is a very strong word, just as love is a much stronger word than like. That's why despise is an antonym of love.
