I have two questions ...

Nice exercise! I liked it very much. Smile
But I made one mistake. Worried
SIGNING - what is it? Is it gerund? Why do we have -ING(ending)? I don't understand this GRAMMAR. English is never easy, is it? Wink
And one more question - COUPLE - is it a singular or a plural form? Is it possible to say THE COUPLE HAS ? I chose HAVE but I have the hesitation.
TIA Smile

RE: Beckham

Yes, 'Signing' is the gerund form and it means 'to engage by written agreement': to sign a new player".

'The couple have/had' - to be honest, it seems that English speakers use both forms, so you would also be correct with 'has'.

Thank you for answer , but

Thank you for answer Smile , but GERUND is something difficult for me Worried
