Britain basked in the _(1)_ day of the year yesterday...with 27C temperatures beating parts of Africa.

Sunseekers flocked to beaches, where the mercury hit 25C (77F) in Bournemouth on the south coast. The Dorset town's seven miles of sands were packed.
Samantha Mason, 37, was on the beach with husband Sean, 38, and children Elisa, 12, and Johnny, nine. She said: "It's gorgeous on the beach today. There must be thousands of people here."

Surfer Jake Weale, 26, said: "It's finally hot enough to _(6)_.
Forecasters Positive Weather Solutions said: "It is going to get cooler over the next few days. But we expect a second salvo of good weather in the second week of June and from then on we should have the lion's share of dry weather."

In my country today is hottest day, too. So I turn off my computer and going with my friends in the beach. Smile

There is a contradiction in the listed word "sunbathing" and a correct answer "sunbathe". It made me make 3 mistakes. Smile
The highest temperature we have in summer is 33-36C (Lviv, Western Ukraine). But yesterday we had a horrible hurricane that ruined a lot of roofs, toppled over a bus and cut off power. And it's been raining all the time since May. I'm looking forward to the weather changes for better.

I live in the Crimea( south

I live in the Crimea( south of Ukraine) and such summer temperature is usual for us, it can be till 35, I like when it's hot and 27 degrees is wonderful weather for sunbathing and swimming in the sea

Nataly, I'm practically looking at you with admiring envy. Wink You have the Black Sea next to you and we don't have any good river or lake for swimming in Lviv. It's extremely hot outside now but no way to revive in water. Smile
