The two phrasal verbs 'get up' and 'wake up' are similar, but different.
When your alarm rings in the morning you 'wake up' as you are no longer sleeping.
'Get up' means that you get out of bed.
'I wake up at 7am, but i don't get up until 7:30.'
It is easy to understand
I generally wake up at 5.30 A.M. and get up at 6.00 A.M.
Thank you for explanation. Before I thought these phrasal verbs mean the same. From now I see difference.
When there is corruption in every Govt. department, we have to get up because we have woken up.
