What do you think about tattoos?

I don't have any tattoos. I don't want one. Sometimes I see some nice ones, but often they look bad. I think I would soon regret it if I had a tattoo.

About ten years ago only former prizoners in our country (Russia) had tattoos. Nowadays it becomes popular, but I really don't understand a reason for doing such terrible things with somebody's skin. Some days ago I met a guy in the tube, he had tattoos all over his hands and it looked like some very bright sweater!!!

If I were you, I won't eaven think of having such things. You might like it when you just get it. But then, you'll get bored with it . The problem is that you can hardly get rid of it once you get your tattoo.

Few ethnic minorities have inherited tatoos customs. Those tattoos express something such as strength, religion, etc. Some people think they're art. They can create wonderful tattoos. However, a few people want to have tattoos just to prove themselves. Thus, you should think carefully before you decide to have a tattoo. What will it express? For art or just for proving self? To me, I don't like having a tattoo on my skin for any reasons.

Well, its a personal choice so in my views
Sometimes tattos are good cos' it shows tht u strongly support a particlar cause or thing...but on other side...
I have seen ppl regreting over it when they dont like it anymore
They are costly to get and even more costly to remove not even this
its very painful to remove them..
Also make sure tht u go to a reputed tattooist who sterlizes their needles and utensils after every use,and u r getting sumthing gud which you really believe in or support and in future also u will do the same.
So Kudos to All who have such a gd thing and cause!!!

I don't like tattoos at all. They look like something dirty. However, my friend has got a little ladybug on her ankle. It's not bad.

Great to know you here! Privet! I do agree to your opinion. Having tattoo is not so much popular here in South Korea. Still they do have negative feeling toward the people who have tattoo on their arms or on their back. Bully guys tend to have such tattoo of "Dragon" on their back.

Bully boys - there are a lot of them here in Russia and sometimes they are aggressive without any reason. Many girls begins to smoke at school. And may be I am wrong these tatoos are the part of the big mass-culture that is spreading all over the world.

In fact I can read Russian letters because I learned your language a couple of years ago on my own. I visited Moscow and St. Petersburg two times (the first time in 2005 and the second time in 2006. In October), and I also visited Khabarovsk (in 2003) and Yuzuno Shakalinsk in 2006.

I am very much interested in your Russian culture and like Russian people a lot. I do have my Russian friends. During my visit to Russia (for my business purpose) I found out there were a lot in common between your culture and Korean culture.

Firstly, I have to say that I'm quite disappointed about some opinions, which I've read here. Of course, everyone has right for his own. However, it's not so easy to judge 'tattoo', or people who like and have tattoos only because you don't like it. Honestly, I have a few tattoos and my friends have them as well. I don't regret it. If you think, that I will regret it later, you're maybe right. Maybe not...
Nowadays, tattoo is something fashionable... Nothing else. It's not a sign of power or your level in some hierarchy. I mean some tribes in Africa, etc.
I agree, it's not the same as crazy hairstyle or piercing, which you can change whenever you want or put down. On the other hand, it's something different, maybe more original... because not everybody is able to have it. And this is maybe exciting and fascinating...

I agree with you,Miro Balo. I see that lots of people judge something because they don't like it. Don't judge a book by its cover. Remember that!!! Tattoo is fashionable. That's all. If you like, you put one on ur body....if not, its okie. Cauz its your choice. And do watever you like and you think its right. Don't let anything influence you. And i hope people will be opened mind more and more.

, for me, actually i like something new here. Including for the new style, tattoo. Nowdays, it is no longer a cultures of some tribes have; but the world has it. It becomes a fashion style already. Nobody scared of it anymore. ;D

i dont like tattoo at all, it is not healthy, moreover my religion refuses it, it is forbidden in islam.

I don't have tatoos, but only because of my job.

I understand that some people dont like tatoos, this is normal, but i have two tatooist friends and i really don't understand whem people talk that tatoos dont are healthy. Their local of job is like a dentist consultory with sterilization machines, masks, all white, all clean, high quality inks, special chair and all the other necessary things. I also have friends that are dentists, pharmacists, medics, etc and a lot of them have tatoos, like a lot of other health professionals here (im from Brazil).

Tattoos are nice to look at. It's like every individuals story and experience are being made via tattoo. That's why having it done to you makes it special. But on the long run, tattoos color becomes weak and you should have it removed to have a new one or to totally have it erased permanently.

 In my view it is nice only at first time.But close by an old age it will be looked auful,wrinkled.
