Nightlife

Whatever your style of nightlife, London has it, and more! Entry to London pubs is free, although charges may apply to some bars after a certain time or if a live act is performing.

The legal drinking age is 18 in the UK, but children over the age of 14 are allowed into public houses and younger children will be admitted if there is a dedicated family area.

The clubbing scene in London is probably the most exciting it has ever been. Every night (including Sundays) you will find a fantastic variety of music to dance the night away to, from funky 70s beats and cheesy 80s pop to thumping drum 'n' bass and jazzy Latin sounds.

World famous club nights are resident in London, including the mighty Ministry of Sound and the pure nostalgia of School Disco.

Most venues are open until 3am on Friday and Saturday, and larger venues can open from Thursday through to Sunday. Entrance can cost anything from a couple of pounds (usually mid-week in smaller venues) up to £20 and over in larger clubs at the weekend.
