When it comes to finding a meeting place to catch up with friends after study or work, then Cambridge is 'the' place to do it.

It's a particular British tradition to socialise over a drink and some pub food in the early evening. There are lots of very traditional English pubs, which serve typical English ‘ale’ as well as more modern, trendy bars, particularly in the city centre and close to the school. In fact, there is a wonderful pizzeria and bar just downstairs from EC Cambridge, which is a popular place for students wishing to hang out after lesson time.
Cambridge’s nightlife has improved enormously in recent years; there are now several large nightclubs and venues where you can regularly see live bands and concerts. There are several large nightclubs in Cambridge, playing different kinds of music throughout the week. There are also regular student nights, and you can collect your discount vouchers for drinks and entry from EC Cambridge for most of them.
There are several theatres in the city, offering anything from Shakespeare to musicals all year round. Cambridge also boasts two ten-screen multiplex cinemas, as well as the famous Arts Cinema, where the Cambridge Film Festival is held annually.
If dancing and music isn't for you, then challenge your friends at the 30-lane bowling alley, located at Cambridge’s new ‘leisure park’, next to the train station. Keep up-to-date with what's happening around the city by checking out What's On in Cambridge.
