Your Arrival in Bristol

If you requested airport pick up from Bristol International Airport, you will see a driver waiting with an EC sign and your name just outside the baggage hall in the arrival hall. If you do not find your driver, call the EC emergency number on:

Please note: airport transfers are by arrangement with EC and are not included in the package price.

If you did not request an airport pick-up, you have several ways to get to your residence:

Taxi: There is a taxi stand outside the airport.

Public Transport from Bristol International Airport:

Airport Bus (Bristol Flyer): The Bristol Flyer connects the airport to the city centre. There is a bus almost every 10 minutes and the journey into the city centre takes 30 minutes. Before boarding the bus, please call the EC emergency number on +44 (0) 7713 561 436 to advise school staff of your arrival time at your residence.

From London Airports

National Express Coach runs from London Heathrow. A coach departs every hour and the journey takes 2 hours.

From London Gatwick there is a coach every two hours and the journey time is 3 hours and 20 minutes.

Your First Day at EC Bristol

Arrival letters are sent to all students at their accommodation address once their accommodation is confirmed. The letter includes detailed information regarding directions. Our Google map shows where EC Bristol is located within the city centre.

Placement Tests

At school you will sit a placement test and attend a Welcome Talk which will provide information to help you during your stay. After your first break you will be given your timetable and start class. New students begin after break at 1pm.

Students who wish to sit exam courses or some specialist courses may be required to take a pre-test and complete a needs analysis before they arrive. You will be given information about this when you book.

At school you will receive a Welcome Talk. During this talk you will be introduced to the school, its facilities and our friendly members of staff. After the welcome talk, you will be met by one of your teachers who will show you to your classroom.
