There are lots of reasons why teaching English at EC Cambridge is so enjoyable. I’ve always been interested in languages and how we use them and Cambridge is certainly a beautiful city to live and work in. However, without doubt the best thing about my job as a teacher is meeting so many different students from all over the world.
I find it really rewarding when a new student joins the class and for the first couple of hours they seem slightly nervous. Then they start working with other students on various tasks and they soon realize that everyone is there to learn English together. Before long they are asking questions, joining in and enjoying themselves at the same time. Seeing students of all ages and nationalities making lasting friendships, all with the common goal of improving their English, is a very satisfying part of the job.
