Los Angeles Student Testimonials

California is just great! For the first week, we’ve already seen many things and had great experiences. In the beginning, the jetlag was very tiring, for two or three evenings I was very exhausted and went to bed early. But it has become better and better and now I’m used to the new time. The landscape is wonderful here, I especially love the sea. The school is very interesting and our class is very small (only 5 students) but I like it. Our teachers are very friendly and easygoing. My host mum and dad are so nice, that I feel very comfortable at home. I have a very big closet and a bed and I share the bathroom with a Korean girl, who is a student at Santa Monica College.

We only have school until 12.15, so in the afternoon we have a lot of time to go shopping, lying on the beach or driving around the city and countryside. One evening, we drove to an Outlet store and it was great there. The clothes are much cheaper than in the normal stores, but I spent too much money there. On Wednesday we went iFlying at Universal Studios in Hollywood as a school activity. It was great, but not better than my amazing experience on Saturday, when we actually went Skydiving! I’ve never done anything better than this, it was just amazing! We jumped out of a plane, which was 12’500 feet high, these are ca. 3’800 meters. I would like to do it again! So this was my first week and I’ve only seen a very small part of L.A., I’m sure it will become more fantastic and I’ll see a lot of interesting things and cities.
