EC is currently recruiting ESL instructors for our brand new Miami Beach center opening on Lincoln Road. EC proudly consists of 15 ESL schools in five countries. In Miami, we are looking to build a strong, energetic team of teachers to start training from LATE-DECEMBER in preparation for our grand opening in January.

Job Title:
English as a Second Language Instructor (part-time position, employment is at will)

Job Description:
The ESL instructor helps international students achieve their personal and academic goals through English language instruction and/or preparation for standardized English exams. Teachers are needed for all levels of General English. Teachers with Cambridge Exam Preparation experience strongly encouraged to apply!

Job Responsibilities:

• Teach ESL classes Monday-Friday according to EC curriculum.
• Prepare daily lesson plans according to syllabus.
• Maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Test, evaluate, and counsel students regarding their academic performance and goals.
• Maintain accurate record keeping for daily attendance and student performance.
• Participate in staff meetings and in-service workshops.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required + TEFL certification + 1 year ESL classroom teaching experience
• Masters in TESOL (TESL) candidates and those with overseas experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Superior skills in creating a dynamic interactive classroom experience.
• High energy level and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Morning availability from Monday to Friday.
