Cambridge is so much more than a prestigious centre of learning! This lively city has lots of attractions to keep students busy outside the classroom. From punting on the river cam to college tours, Cambridge offers the perfect balance of the historical and modern to language students from all over the world.
Classic Cambridge is extremely well located, with residential accommodation and junior centres within a 10 minute walk of the city centre. Most activities are held in the centre of Cambridge and students staying at Jesus College don’t need bus passes!
The focus of lessons is communication, confidence and improving English skills in a fun way. For students who want even more practice, we offer an Intensive English course, providing an extra 10 lessons per week to improve English skills further. Students are placed in classes based upon their English ability, whether they are beginners or have an advanced level of English. EC’s Junior centres are equipped with great facilities, including internet access and are just a 10-minute walk from the city centre.
The classic programme without accommodation and transfers. Ideal for students age 9-13 staying with family or friends.
Staying with an English family gives students a chance to learn more about British culture and practise their English in real-life situations. All of our families are visited by our accommodation manager and provide a welcoming home. Students eat breakfast and dinner with their host family and have lunch in a variety of city centre restaurants. There are no host families within walking distance of school; the journey is made by public buses which are frequent and very reliable, host families all live within a 5 minute walk from a bus stop.
Jesus College accommodation is in the heart of the city, just a 10 minute walk from EC’s Junior Centre, and only a 2 minute walk from the city centre; students staying at Jesus do not need a bus pass. Split into houses with 6 - 8 students in each house, the residence has very large bedrooms and great communal areas where students can hang out. In each house there is a live-in EC leader, who takes care of breakfast, laundry and supervision.
