Classic Malta
It is easy to see why Malta is such a popular English language learning destination, in the heart of the Mediterranean sea, this English speaking destination has beautiful beaches, crystal clear sea and a great climate. The international mix of students together with the fun loving Mediterranean culture creates an atmosphere unique to Malta.
The Classic Malta programme encompasses all the island has to offer, with English lessons in fantastic air-conditioned centres, and an activity programme that occasionally takes a break from the sun and sea to introduce students to the amazing cultural heritage of Malta.
The Course
- General English: 20 lessons -(45 mins each) per week
- International Classes
- Max. 15 students per class
- Students might alternate between morning and afternoon sessions
Students follow a General English course in fully air-conditioned junior centres. Lessons are focused upon communication and enhancing the use of English in practical situations. On their first day, students take a placement test to ensure they are in a class with others who have the same level of English as themselves.
Optional Extras
English & Diving
For the more adventurous students, our fully qualified dive centre offers the PADI Open Water course for beginners and PADI Advanced course for more experienced divers. Courses combine theory and practice and take 2 weeks to complete. Students cannot always attend daytime activities.
Day Programme Available:
The classic programme without accommodation and transfers. Ideal for students age 9-13 staying with family or friends.

Staying with a host family is a great way for students to improve their English and learn more about Malta. Our families provide a comfortable place for students to relax after a long day of lessons and fun. There are no host families within walking distance of school, but they are all within a 5 minute walk of the EC private bus route. The EC bus service provides transport both going to, and returning from all activities and lessons.

Staying with other EC students in a hotel is a brilliant chance for students to make friends. Students stay in air-conditioned triple or quad rooms with a private bathroom, TV and access to all of the hotels facilities. Breakfast, packed lunch and dinner are included. For students travelling without a group leader live-in EC leaders supervise and provide support to students throughout their stay. A private EC school bus takes students to school and activities.
