Optional Extras

Extra Safari

Whilst students are in South Africa they have to go on safari! EC offers a one-day safari to a game reserve a short drive from Cape Town. The beautiful drive is the first highlight of the trip. Students can then try to spot the ‘Big Five’ – elephants, rhinos, leopards, lions and buffalo. The opportunity to see even more including zebras, hippo and cheetahs cannot be missed! Lunch is included and students return to Cape Town the same evening.

Extra Whale-Watching

Students can choose to take a boat trip from Hermanus to spot the famous whales of the Cape. Although sightings are not guaranteed, Hermanus is one of the world’s top whale-watching destinations.

There are few cities in the world that can offer students so much to encounter during their stay. Cape Town has everything from great shopping and whale watching, to an immense wealth of historical places of interest. Students can even travel to a game reserve where they can spot wildlife found only in Africa.
