Enjoy VIP treatment at EC
The Orange Carpet Experience is about making each student feel special, from the very moment you book a course until months after your departure.
With access to EC Online before you arrive, to your personal welcome on arrival and on to events designed to let you get to know your teachers and fellow students - we make sure you feel like a VIP.
EC Online is a unique learning tool which starts working the moment you book one of our English Courses. Combining learning materials, testing and communication with teachers and other students, it enables you to get the most out of your studies at any time, no matter where you are.
A personal welcome
It doesn’t matter what kind of accommodation you’ve chosen, the welcome will be just as good. If you’re in a homestay you’ll be greeted by a warm and friendly host. If you’ve chosen the residential option then an EC representative will be there all weekend to make sure you’re happy and have settled in.
We make the first Sunday before school begins as special as possible by packing it with a range of activities. Whether it’s a brunch, a city tour or a delicious dinner, you’ll get to sample the excitement of life in your destination of choice while getting to know EC staff and your fellow students.
The Orange Carpet
We give the best possible welcome to our students, using refreshments, music and staff attention to create a comforting, friendly environment. A short orientation talk helps you settle in at EC, followed by lessons which introduce the EC experience and life in your chosen city.
The way you learn is tailored to suit you personally. Your individual performance is monitored throughout your time with us, and your lesson plan shaped to work with your strengths and weaknesses. Using EC Online you’ll be able to monitor your learning plan and track the progress you’re making.
Thanks to the EC Promise you can be 100% certain that we’ll do everything it takes to ensure your time studying with us is a total success. And because you will take the Oxford University Press’s Online Test at the beginning and end of your course, you can be sure that the progress you make has also been externally validated.
Two weeks before you leave us, we’ll have an optional one-to-one meeting at which we’ll look back over your EC experience, discussing your experience and the progress you’ve made with us. We’ll also use the time to draw up plans to make your final two weeks as productive as possible.
An informal goodbye event will enable you to reflect on your experiences and achievements in the company of the teachers and classmates who’ve taken the EC journey with you. You’ll be given your certificate, have photographs taken with the friends you’ve made and commemorate your accomplishments.
