Earlier this month, EC English Language Centres was one of the proud sponsors supporting ‘Malta Takes London’, an incredible music extravaganza created to showcase local talent and provide the perfect opportunity to experience the buzzing London music scene.
To quote the Malta Takes London Facebook page, the event, now in its 4th year running, ‘was created by musicians, for musicians’ and gives Maltese artists based both locally and in London the chance to come together and perform in one of the world’s great music capitals. This year’s edition was an awesome success, with a fantastic crowd and captivating performances by No Snow/No Alps, Federica, Fuzz Honeys, Canvas Wall, Brodu, The Ranch, BILA, I am Willow, YEWS, NBOME, An Experiment, Beesqueeze, Berne, Rob Harbour, Michael Bugeja, and Ben Vincenti.
The overwhelmingly positive response to Malta Takes London is an encouraging sign that the Maltese music scene is gaining confidence, while enjoying some well-deserved praise too! Check out their official after-movie here.
Trackage Scheme
The alternative music scene in Malta is home to a wide range of music genres just packed with loads of potential, especially when you consider how small the island actually is. Trackage Scheme is an awesome imitative set up to bring all of Malta’s musical talent together under one eclectic roof, with the online music hub identifying, supporting, and promoting local talent, no matter the genre.
Trackage scheme helps musicians by boosting the profile of the Maltese music scene not just locally, but on an international level, and supporting Maltese talent in pursuit of their musical dreams and aspirations.
