We are an established school with locations all over the world, Malta is our home, its where it all started and it’s still our ‘flagship store’.
Malta is a safe country where English is an official language; it is spoken everywhere, plus we have busy tourism, financial services and gaming sectors, so speaking English is a key attribute of the Maltese success story.
At EC, our goal is to help you meet your objective of learning English. We do this in a structured but fun way, to help you make the most of the experience of being in Malta, with the added bonus of leaving with a skill you can use in any country, for the rest of your life!
Our Malta English school is based in the beating heart of St Julian’s, a modern part of the island with all the amenities and entertainment you need within walking distance. The beach is a few hundred meters from our entrance and on the way, you pass a cinema, bowling alley, shopping complex, supermarkets, and entertainment venues. There are hotels in the same street too, for when you have visitors.
Of course, you will be here to learn English, but you will gain more life skills during the process. At EC, we have standards that we strive to exceed, and we have a promise to you which is, that by working together with us, you will crush your goal to learn English!
We promise you will progress on your EC English course when you:
· Attend 96% of your classes
· Complete at least three homework assignments per week, with an average score of 9/10
· Actively participate in lessons, with an average score of 9/10 for participation and motivation
It is demanding, but our teachers are amazing; they will help you and give you constant feedback. By getting involved and interacting with your classmates and practicing what you have learned together, it won’t be so hard.
You will have full access to our unique study tool, EC Online, which was developed by our partners, The Oxford University Press. You will take a placement test and a pre-arrival survey on this platform, and you can track your progress throughout your journey with us on EC Advance, which is a personally adaptive and highly accurate way of assessing your overall proficiency. Monitoring your progress is important, you can see what areas you need to focus on, and which areas you have nailed!
The experience of being away from home, meeting people from all over the world and sharing experiences with them that you will cherish forever, will give you more than just a certificate.
