Meet Mohammed

Sharing is caring!

Meeting students and finding out a bit about them and their learning goals is one of the best parts of working at EC.

This week, we meet 5 time-returning student, Mohammed, who comes from Kuwait and is a writer for games and comic novels.  He tells us about his reasons for wanting to improve his English and why he has chosen to keep returning to EC Brighton.

“I would like to improve my grammar and speaking and meet new friends. EC is great school to learn at, because they listen to students what they need and what they want to learn. They really help when you are struggling with something in or out of school – everyone is friendly”.

I returned to continue to learn English in Brighton because I’m really trying to improve my English. The language has made my life easier to order food, travel, translate for my friends or family, writing comics and speaking with others in online video games communities.

I think it is the best way to learn English – travel to English country and avoid speaking your language!

There are two things you need to do while you are learning

  1. there is time for fun and there is time to learn.
  1. speak English to learn fast.

After learning English I got an idea to make first graphic novel called “Happy Asylum Day” and “Mack King: Origin” and I made video game script called “I’m Lost: hero to zero “

Mohammed has been following the General English course at EC Brighton. Our General English courses offer three levels of intensity, to help you reach your goals at a pace that suits you. Each individual learns differently, and our method of teaching helps students learn how to learn as well as improving their English.

In all our schools our classes are varied, and we use interactive TVs / white boards to accompany the coursebooks and curriculum from National Geographic Learning. We cover a range of subjects and tailor conversations and content to suit the interests of our students.

Each location has its own special appeal; EC Brighton is based close to the iconic pier and beach and it is amongst the lanes where you can see the quirky side of British art and crafts and enjoy a wide range of foods, with lots of vegetarian and vegan choices. A vibrant art and LBGTQ+ scene mean the town is busy all year around with events and attractions to suit many genres and tastes.
