Every year on Patriot’s Day Boston welcomes sports fans from around the world to watch the annual Boston Marathon!
This year’s marathon was held on Monday April 19 and the streets of Boston were packed with excited fans.
This year was the 114th marathon and spectators watched an amazing race!
The female winner was Teyba Erkesso from Ethiopia and the male winner was Robert Kiprono Cheruiyot from Kenya.
Robert actually set a new marathon record with a total time of 2:05:52!!!!
Many EC students came out to support the runners and witness this historic event in Boston.
Students couldn’t believe the enthusiasm and excitement that surrounded this event and said “it was a great time and experience in Boston”.
