Live in artsy Allston!
For those of you planning to take ESL classes in Boston and wondering where to live in the city, it’s time to tap into your artistic, creative side. Check out some murals and museums while staying in EC Boston’s Allston apartments!
Residence coordinator Elizabeth and intern Tracy roamed the streets of Allston and found these cool pieces of art:
Take a trip through time! On the left we see a vintage look of the town with an old-school green line trolley car. On the right we see a more modern take and how the buildings have evolved.
Allston’s murals aren’t all portraits! Some of the streets are lined with abstract art.
Even some of the bars and restaurants are feeling festive and decorating their exteriors. This mural helps demonstrate a friendly neighborhood atmosphere.
Allston doesn’t only have murals, though! Across the street from EC’s apartments are sculptures of a turtle and a ladybug.
Feeling inspired? Check out more works of art at the Museum of Fine Arts, the Institute of Contemporary Art, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and more!
Once you’re done soaking in some culture, Allston will be there to welcome you with open arms!
(Note: For students who would prefer to live with a host family, EC also offers homestay in Boston.)
