At EC Boston we are loving the Dance for Charity classes! This week we danced Hawaiian Hula for the first time ever in our lives! Tiare, one of our intern teachers from Hawaii taught us how to dance a beautiful song about the rainbow = “Ānuenue” and nature.
In Hula dancing there are many hand motions that represent the words in the song. For example, hand movements can signify aspect of nature, such as the rain or the beautiful land, or an action, like telling a story or smelling a flower.
After the class we felt so peaceful and relaxed… we were all dreaming about visiting Hawaii and practicing our new moves near the ocean!
