Hi, my name is Cristiane, but you can call me Cris (which makes everything easier). I’m 21 and I’m from Brazil. I’ve been living in Brighton for 3 months already, and I will stay for 1 month more.
Definitely, there is a huge difference between my home town and Brighton. From the weather, the food, the habits to the taste of the beer, everything is different and to live these changes, the best way for me, was to incorporate as many English ways as I could, and in the end, I feel at home. England has become part of my life!
Here is a magic place! You can learn new things all the time: in the classroom, with the teachers and students; outside, going to a pub, a club, a restaurant, a museum, to the cinema, etc; and even in your host-families or residence. Everywhere you can met people from all around the world, which is when the magic lives, because it is an amazing opportunity to share with the others about your country and learn a lot about other countries and cultures, as well.
As a student ambassador, my main idea is to let you feel comfortable during your stay in Brighton and in EC. This way, I can help you in every single thing you need, from bus tickets, trains lines to best pubs and clubs that you can find in the town. I really hope that you enjoy your stay with us, and have the opportunity to live unforgivable experiences in Brighton, just like I did.

My name is Simon, I am from France, I can say I am happy to be a student Ambassador , because I am very fond of organizing events, and since organizing many conferences in Brighton, Paris, Lyon, Bruxelles,I am now sure that events, conferences and other associations create many interesting situations. I have been involved in different kinds of tasks, sports, culture and political debates, each time bringing me great satisfaction to see how I can join all project stakeholders in a common cause.

My name is Franzi and I’m 18 years old. I live in Germany but at the moment I am staying in Brighton for 6 months. I am doing an internship at EC Brighton to improve my English skills. I want to be an English teacher once I have finished my studies, hopefully in five years’ time! But for now you can find me at the Reception desk, if you need any help please do not hesitate to ask me and I will do my best. I’ve been here for one month and in these four weeks I have had so much fun, I found friends, and my host family is wonderful and friendly.
I have already visited Seven Sisters, Lewes and Devils Dyke. I had an amazing time there. Also the people at my work placement are very helpful and lovely. At the beginning I was shy and was scared to talk because I thought all the people would think that my English is very bad and they would laugh at me. But after one week I saw that nobody thinks that and everybody cares about me and they all tried to help me. I never thought that I would gain such self-confidence and experience but all my expectations were exceeded. I can only recommend coming to Brighton in order to improve one’s English skills. I had the choice between London and Brighton, but I decided for Brighton and don’t regret my decision because of the beautiful city and the lovely people at my work. All in all I can say the time I’ve been here has been great and I am looking forward to the next five months here in Brighton!

Hello my name is Hee Ju Jang and I’m from South Korea so I can speak Korean and English. I’ve been here 8 months and I’m staying here for 1 more month.
I love Brighton because people are really kind and I can the see beach all the time! For me, Brighton and my city are little bit similar because of the beaches.
My role as an ambassador is to help students and make new students get used to Brighton. For new students, I would recommend meeting loads of foreign friends and speaking English a lot.
