EC language students could be taught English language by the following teachers whilst attending an English language course at EC Cambridge

1. Which country and city were you born in?
I grew up in a village close to Cambridge when I left school I worked for the BBC in London
2. How long have you been living in Cambridge?
I moved back to Cambridge in 2000
3. Which country or city did you live in before you came to Cambridge?
I have lived in several different countries including America, Singapore, Norway and Scotland.
4. What kind of things do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy walking, meeting friends for coffee and playing tennis (very badly)
5. Are there any things you really do not like to do?
Buying food in a supermarket-it takes so long and I always forget something
6. Do you speak other languages?
I love trying to speak French and try to study for a few minutes every day. I studied Norwegian for 3 years but I have forgotten most of it now
7. Would you like to live in another country? If yes which one and why?
I’m Happy in England at the moment but I wish we had a bit more sunshine in the summer
8. Have you always been a teacher ot have you had a job in a different area?
Before working at EC my last job was in a English secondary school, helping pupils who couldn’t speak English.
9. What do you like about working as a teacher?
Meeting students from so many different countries and seeing them make friends and enjoy their stay in Cambridge

Northampton, Great Britain
2. How long have you been living in Cambridge?
Years! – About 30!!
3. Which country or city did you live in before you came to Cambridge?
London-3years at a professional Dancing School
4. What kind of things do you like to do in your free time?
Dancing! – Salsa and Tango
Reading when I have the time
Eating out socializing and drinking wine
Going to the theatre and listening to Jazz music
5. Are there any things you really do not like to do?
Camping and being on the water for too long! – No extreme activities or sports
6. Do you speak other languages?
A scattering of German, French, Spanish and Italian-French A level
7. Would you like to live in another country? If yes which one and why?
Yes, anywhere in the Mediterranean either Italy or Spain, for work, life style and most importantly: the WEATHER!.
8.Have you always been a teacher ot have you had a job in a different area?
I have been a TEFL teacher for 3+years, prior to that taught classical ballet (Anatomy +dance)
I have also worked in Retail: Perfuming +beauty therapy
9. What do you like about working as a teacher?
Working in an International environment and interacting with students from different cultures

1. Which country and city were you born in?
I was born in Kettering, about an hour from Cambridge
2. How long have you been living in Cambridge?
I’ve just moved to Cambridge-about 2 months ago. But I used to study here at school and then at University
3. Which country or city did you live in before you came to Cambridge?
I have lived in London, Bosnia, Norwich and Scotland. I taught at a school in Bosnia for 3 years where I met my husband
4. What kind of things do you like to do in your free time?
I Love playing sport climbing trees and hanging out with my friends in a café or having dinner with them. I also love going to church and teaching the young people there
5. Are there any things you really do not like to do?
Plan lessons!
6. Do you speak other languages?
Yes, Bosnian/Croatian
7. Would you like to live in another country? If yes which one and why?
Oh yes, somewhere in Eastern Europe would be great because they have great coffee and life isn’t too crazy

I used to work for my church in London spent most of my school holidays washing up in some kitchens
9. What do you like about working as a teacher?
I love talking with students and helping them to learn English-its great when I can see that they have learnt something new and have enjoyed the class as well
