I arrived in Hong Kong for the first time on Monday evening – what an amazing place! There are skyscrapers and neon lights everywhere. I feel dizzy looking up at the tops of the buildings as they disappear into the fog. Yesterday we explored the city and went to Pacific Place, the most impressive shopping mall I have ever seen. Today we took the Star Ferry to Kowloon and admired the view of Hong Kong island. Tomorrow is New Year’s Eve so we are hoping to find somewhere near the harbour for dinner and to watch the fireworks. I have only been here for two days (and I am still suffering from jet lag) but already Hong Kong is one of my favourite cities in the world. On Saturday we will travel to Guangzhou in China where we will be living for the next few months. Look out for updates on our Chinese adventure here on the EC London blog every Wednesday…
