Montreal Oyster fest

Sharing is caring!

This Sunday, September 2nd, is the fourth edition of the Montreal Oyster Fest for The Open Pier Foundation. All the profits of this event go to this foundation that is “dedicated to ocean preservation and sustainably awareness and, well, basically trying to save the world.”  It goes from 2 to 9PM at the Pigeon Hole Renewal in the Old Montreal (Corner Notre-Dame and St-Jean).

You have to buy your tickets in advance. Because there is not a lot of tickets and they are going away very fast.  There is 2 kind of tickets, the first one is 35$ and you get the right to enter the site and 2 food/drinks ticket. The second one is 65$ and you get the right to enter the site and 10 food/ticket.

Each item cost 1 food/drink ticket and each ticket is 5$. So once the food/drinks tickets you received with your entrance ticket are gone you can buy more on the spot.  Some of the best restaurants of Montreal gathers there and serve the oysters that you exchange against your tickets.

There are also all sorts of competition through the day, Oyster shucking competition, Caesar competition and Oyster shots competition. There will be bands and DJ’s to set the ambiance.

It’s going to be awesome!
