August 10 to August 16 is Montreal’s annual Pride festivities, celebrating Montreal’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community. Montreal Pride is the largest gathering of its kind in the Francophone world.
The festivities will include over 80 events including Community Day on August 15 and the ever-popular Pride Parade on August 16. The parade starts at 1 p.m. and attracts many onlookers!
In addition, the iconic Mega T-Dance will take place at the Place Emile-Gamelin on August 16 at noon.
The Pride Parade is inspired once again by the rainbow flag. This year’s colour is yellow. The flag’s yellow stripe represents light and energy.
Many Montrealers and visitors will agree that Montreal is an extremely gay friendly city! We celebrate and embrace this community!
