Yesterday our English in the City class visited the Shriner’s Hospital for Children as their outing. EC Montreal held its 13th annual charity bake sale last December and raised funds for the hospital.
They invited us to the check presentation and gave us a tour of the new hospital. The hospital was designed with so much thoughtfulness and care! They are always so appreciative of our fundraising efforts. They made us feel like we donated thousands of dollars!
The English in the City students really enjoyed the tour. Their teacher had prepared them all week with the theme of healthcare. His students had so many experiences to share regarding healthcare in their country and the different type of systems in place – public vs private.
Giving feels so good! When you join our English or French classes at EC, we will introduce you to the Montreal community!
