Montreal’s annual pride festivities will take place from August 11 to August 20 this year. We will be celebrating Montreal’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community. Montreal pride is the largest gathering of its kind in the Francophone world.
The Pride Parade is inspired once again by the rainbow flag. Many Montrealers and visitors will agree that Montreal is an extremely gay friendly city. We happily embrace and celebrate this community!
The parade is scheduled for Sunday, August 20, beginning at noon. The parade will start on the corner of Drummond Street and travel east on Rene-Levesque Boulevard, culminating on Alexandre-DeSeve Street in the heart of the Village.
On the occasion of Montreal’s 375th anniversary, the parade will highlight the LGBTQ movement’s historic achievements and will make many references to the history of Montreal and Canada.
The parade will feature floats from hundreds of local spots teams, cultural and community groups as well as other gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender organizations. The parade will also feature both gay and gay friendly businesses that join in celebrating the significant contributions of their LGBT employees and clients.
The Montreal pride will be giving a series of special awards for the most exciting, crowd-pleasing and unforgettable floats.
