Montreal has been ranked the 6th best city in the world according to TimeOut, a global media and entertainment business. The study attempted to rank the cities passed on several factors important in urban culture such as food, drink, culture, music, nightlife, sociability, happiness, progress, attractiveness and a few other qualities.
Montreal was ranked high and TimeOut described Montreal as “a top destination for letting your freak flag fly” and “one of the best cities in the world to just be yourself”.

TimeOut also stated that Montreal holds a status as a cultural hub full of self-expression and is the second most affordable city on the planet with the second shortest working hours.
Other EC destinations made the list. New York came in first place, Melbourne in second, London in 4th and LA in 5th place. Toronto made it on the list in the 23rd spot. Still very impressive considering there were 48 cities on the list and well, there are thousands and thousands of cities in the world!
The rankings were a result of polling 34,000 residents from all over the world.
