From July 12 to July 14, Laval will be hosting a beer and food festival called Le Festival des bières de Laval. It is intended to be a huge family celebration highlighting the Quebec brewing industry as well as local products.
This will be the 5th edition of the festival. Some of the local beers featured will include Archibald Microbrasserie, Le Saint-Bock and Glutenberg. They will be exhibiting their most recent and their most popular products.
Visitors will be given a choice of beer tasting sizes; either 4oz or 8oz. Festival goers can purchase the official festival glass for only $6. It makes a wonderful souvenir after the festival is over, especially for our EC Montreal students.
The price for the sampling ranges from $2 to $10, depending on the type of beer. All financial transactions are cash only.
There will be music throughout the festival. Some popular local DJs like Marc Dery, Grimzkunk, Zen Bamboo, Danny Rebel and the KGB plus many, many others will keep all the festival goers entertained throughout the event.
There will be a lot of food vendors on site as well, so you can enjoy amazing food while listening to great tunes.
The festival will take place at the Centre de la Nature park located at 901 Parc Avenue in Laval. You can access Laval by public transportation. The metro goes to three different metro stations in Laval.
The entrance fee at the gate is $10 for the day or $15 for the weekend pass.
We will be promoting this wonderful event to our EC Montreal students who are looking for something different and delicious to do this summer!
Cheers to summer in magical Montreal!
