Hey Students! Have you noticed the large cardboard box at our lobby?
Well that box was put there by our friendly neighbors on the 27 floor in support of an amazing (in my opinion) charity called Toys for Tots. During the holidays and a season all about gift giving, we cannot forget there are less fortunate families who may not be able to bring gifts home. But that doesn’t mean they cannot receive a gift at all.
Led by the U.S. Marine Corps, Toys for Tots is the official mission bringing gifts into the homes of less fortunate children all over the United States. The Marines recognize children as the future, and therefore developed an important initiative to provide hope in children through gifts during the holiday season.
Well, what can you do?
Toys for Tots asks that you bring a new and unused gift (of any kind) and simply place it at the drop off location. The toys are then picked up and brought into the homes of children. Luckily for us, we have a bin right in our building at 1450 Broadway. Won’t you do a good deed and support Toys for Tots?
Did you know you could support Toys for Tots year round? Amazing!
