On Thursday, July 3rd, EC San Diego took part in celebrating America’s Independence Day!
This national holiday commemorates America’s freedom from Great Britain in the year 1776. Every year, Fourth of July celebrations bring friends and families together, and often include various festivities such as: outdoor activities, sporting events, firework shows, barbecues, and picnics!
On July 3rd, EC San Diego ESL students and our staff came to school dressed in red, white, and blue, the colors of America’s national flag.
Students & staff enjoyed some traditional American summertime treats: cotton candy and popsicles. And, as shown below, students enjoyed taking pictures with different patriotic props!
This event was yet another opportunity for students to learn English in San Diego & for them to really get to know the American “lingo”.
A great Independence Day celebration during summer 2014 at EC San Diego, where the fun won’t stop!!!
