Happy Eid!!!

Sharing is caring!

On Tuesday, July 28th, EC San Diego took part in celebrating Eid al-Fitr, also known as “Feast of Breaking the Fast”. Eid is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims which marks the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting. This day is often commemorated with music, dancing, and food! A traditional phrase used on this day is “Eid Mubarak!”, which translates to “Have a blessed celebration!”

Students at EC spent a portion of the afternoon conversing, dancing, and eating delicious Arabic desserts! Some students even arrived to school wearing traditional thawb garments. At EC San Diego, we foster a community of cultural sensitivity, where students are encouraged to share their cultural traditions with their schoolmates. Thank you to all the students who had a hand in putting together this great event. Happy Eid!
