Friends made in Canada
I have met a lot of nice people. They are from Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Switzerland and Saudi Arabia. We went out together in the evenings for dinner and parties. It was a lot of fun to talk to people from other continents and cultures. It was very interesting to discuss the differences between the countries. I lived with a host family and a Brazilian student. One weekend, we explored Whistler together, and he saw snow for the first time in his life.
Other than that, we also went after the school to see different places of interest in Vancouver. With another friend from Brazil, I went to a BC Lions game. It was fantastic! We decided to remain in contact and to maybe meet again one day, either in Brazil or in Germany. All in all, I had a really great time in Vancouver, with nice people.
Advice for German students
Talk to your classmates and do something together after school! You have a lot of things to explore and a lot of activities to do in Vancouver!
