The YWCA is a hostel. The building is designated for the accommodation of students and also tourists.
It is a social accommodation where students have their own bedroom with a shared shower and toilet on the same floor. Three floors are exclusive to females.
Cooking equipment and utensils are provided. Short stay guests are provided with plates/cups etc.
Long-term guests are required to purchase their own. There is a bargain department store a 5-minute walk from the residence.
Bed sheets are provided, and students can exchange for fresh bed sheets once a week at reception.
The hostel is located at 103 Vincent Street (the end of Vincent St, not to be confused with the YMCA, which is at the top of the same street), right next to the Auckland Central Police station and opposite the Rendezvous Hotel.
Vincent Street runs parallel to Queen Street and is accessed from Mayoral Drive at the city end or from Pitt Street.
The hostel is located 5 minutes-walk from the Auckland City Centre, main transport hub Britomart, Auckland University, AUT, K’Rd, international language schools and much more.

Check-in: From 13.00 onwards
Earlier check - in allowed if room is available.
Late check-in is allowed. There is a staff member on site 24 hours per day.
Departure day: Monday-Sunday
Check-out: 10.00 am at the latest.
