Hubway!

Hello! EC students. My name is Minki. I used to be an EC student and I had lived in Boston for 6 months. How’s it going in Boston? Everyday is fun and exciting? If you are looking for something exciting to do in Boston, I would like to tell you my experience in Boston.

Do you know Hubway? It is the bike station where you can rent bikes. If you want to rent a bike, only pay $5 for one day, but you should return the bike at a different hubway station every 30 minutes, or you have to pay more money. But don’t worry, because there are a lot of Hubway stations, so you may have enough time to return your bike. You need a debit / credit card including $100 for deposit (you will get this deposit back).

Before I left from Boston, I wanted to make an impressive experience to remind me of Boston for a long time. I found there were a lot of Hubway stations in Boston. I decided to go to all of those. There was no reason. I just thought it would be an unforgettable experience for me. I counted how many stations were. There were 58. started my journey with my friends at 3:30 PM. I rented a bike from the furthest station to make come back home easy.

As you see, the distance among stations in the west part of this map is pretty far. Don’t get lost and hurry up. If not, you might not be able to return your bike in 30 minutes. At the beginning, it was not difficult to ride because I had enough energy. As time passed, however, I realized it took a long time. When I got to 1/3 of the stations, it was 8:00 PM. I thought it would take just 5 hours, but actually it took much more time! My friends and I considered giving up, but we really wanted to finish this trip. We kept going until getting to the last station. When getting the last station, it was 3:30 AM. It took almost 11 hours. I can’t forget this moment although I was very tired and sleepy. I highly recommend you try this. Just do it! I am sure it would be great experience for you. It’s a great way to see Boston and have fun.
