On the 5th November each year you can see the sky all over Britain lit up by thousands of fireworks. The historical reason for this is the execution of Guy Fawkes who tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament in 1605. This year, over 60,000 people went to watch the biggest procession in Great Britain which takes place in Lewes, a little town in East Sussex. As well as the fireworks, there was a big parade and a huge bonfire where they replicated the scene of Guy Fawkes execution. Many EC students attended the event which was organized by Discovery Tours.
