Hurrah! EC Bristol English school is born and it’s shaping up nicely. I’m Fay, this is my third week at EC Bristol and I’ve got to tell you – I’m loving every second of it!
The number of students here is growing rapidly and this summer it’s going to be busy! We have some great new faces in our team here who are all settling in really well and we’re excited to welcome more soon.
Learning English in the UK is one thing, but learning it in Bristol is quite another – it’s beautiful here! We’re set on the stunning Queen Square which is surrounded by giant trees and people enjoying the sun on the grass. Just over one side of the cobbled road is the harbour filled with stories of pirates and on the other is the city centre overflowing with shops – fantastic!
It’s always buzzing with life here and being so close to everything you could possibly need it’s no wonder EC students love it.
The English Courses here are increasing too – many more students are making the most of their time in England by choosing an Intensive course alongside plenty of other students who decide on a General course. They are even bringing family to study with them too!!
Our accommodation programme is great too – we have some fantastic Host Families nearby and some very lavish student flats only metres away from our front doors!
One of the best parts of the day is when you’ve finished studying hard and revised all your notes for the day… so can finally put your feet up! We’re getting some local companies on board to give special discounts to EC students from shops, bars and even activities for the weekend. So if you like to have fun after school or on the weekend, see your friends and relax, or even to visit the nearby cities, learn the English culture and be active – EC Bristol is the place to be. We believe that learning English should put a big smile on your face and to do so you must get the right balance of learning both in the classroom and in real-life places around the city. What a great combination!
As it was the Summer Solstice yesterday, we’re in full swing preparing for this summer’s intake of students. The sun is out, (in between thundery showers!!) and it’s warm, so there is a great vibe in the air for welcoming the new students to our big family.

Today there are some photos from around EC Bristol, our students, and the team here… we’re stood by our lovely bonsai tree that we’re trying to rescue from the English climate. (There will be a photos of the teachers too as soon as I can get them altogether!) From left to right it is Ingmar, Myself, Dan and Anne-Louise – they all say hello!
I can’t wait to tell you about everything that happens here in Bristol and take you on our journey from when we first began to when we become world famous for how brilliant it is both here and in all of the other EC locations… just you wait and see!!
