Holidays in a few days !!!

Hi everyone, How was your weekend? A few weeks ago each member of the EC Bristol staff were assigned with a Secret Santa name and on Friday everyone brought their Christmas gifts. The gifts were all placed on the table of the staff room. They were all sparkling and waiting for their owner to be opened. What is Secret Santa? Secret Santa is a Western Christmas tradition in which members of a group or community are randomly assigned a person to whom they anonymously give a gift. Often practiced in workplaces or amongst large families, participation in it is usually voluntary. It offers a way for many people to give and receive a gift at low cost. I had such a great surprise when I discovered that my Christmas wish had come true…I got a new beret and some very cute feather earrings! What's more, on Friday, Ingmar, the director of the school, organised a Christmas Dinner for all the members of the staff. Everyone had fun and enjoyed a great, warm and Christmassy meal. The restaurant was nicely decorated with pictures taken during the whole of 2012. One of our EC students was handed around a really nice card for CHRISTMAS. The perfect card in fact. Check this out! If you study English at EC Bristol you can attend our Christmas Party on Friday 21st December 2012. Enjoy food and games amongst other festivities and then accompany us to a pub night to wave farewell for the holiday period. On Tuesday, EC Bristol is organising a Christmas Walk. It's the perfect opportunity for you to have a walk in the German Market of Bristol, try a hot mulled wine that will warm you up and why not have some doughnuts as well?! You will be able to check out … Read more

We're walking in the air We're floating in the moonlit sky The people far below are sleeping as we fly I'm holding very tight I'm riding in the midnight blue I'm finding I can fly so high above with you On across the world The villages go by like dreams The rivers and the hills the forests and the streams Children gaze open mouthed taken by surprise Nobody down below believes their eyes We're surfing in the air We're swimming in the frozen sky We're drifting over icy mountains floating by. Suddenly swooping low on an ocean deep Rousing up a mighty monster from his sleep We're walking in the air, … Read more
