EC Cambridge Young Learners hit the science museum

On a sunny Saturday some students of the Junior programme at EC Cambridge set off for a day trip to London. Their destination, the Science Museum in South Kensington! Cool lighting in the main hall! There are loads of amazing things on display, including a replica of the lunar landing module that went to the moon, Mika Hakkinen’s F1 car, and lots more…! After taking a busy day going round the museum having a look at the exciting exhibits it was time to take the coach back to Cambridge in time for a well deserved dinner! Join us next week as we’re off to Great Yarmouth!

Hello all! As you probably know punting runs here at EC Cambridge and is free to all English Language Students. To help you make the most of it, here are a few points to keep in mind. – There is a six person maximum per Punt (boat) – Two people per punt must be willing to be the chauffer (it is “self hire” so although EC will pay to hire the punt, this doesnt cover a chauffer as well) – You have one hour on the river so please start to make your way back after 25minutes as it is harder to return (this is because you are pushing against the current of the river) – The Punt cannot turn over, it has been built with a flat bottom – If you bring any valuables with you thn be aware that there wont be a secure place on dry land for you to leave them

The summer is in full swing here at EC Cambridge with both the junior and adult lessons running. But between your English Language lessons, there is still so much to do in and around Cambridge! Remember as part of your free activity program, we already offer free trips to a variety of different places and activities. Punting, Cambridge colleges and a variety of museum and walking excursions. In august we will be adding further activities to this list. Such as Cambridge Botanical gardens. So look out for the latest free activities sheets. These can be found in the computer room, common room and outside the academic office at the school. Enjoy the rest the summer!
