So last week our Junior Programme 2013 ended with a fantastic last week of fun and games and of course lots of English Learning! Amongst the usual things going on we had a Masquerade Ball where students made their own facemasks and then danced the night away! This not only was great fun but of course gave them great practice in communication, team building and practising their English Speaking Skills. Following this we also held our final talent show of the summer with a range of different acts entering in. Pick of the bunch was the break dancers. So all in all our students had a great time and we all had a great summer! We look forward to seeing some of them back next year! Have a good winter guys!
Here’s the activity programme for September. As you will see we are providing not one but two free activities on most days to ensure you make the most of your free time, make friends and of course practice speaking English! As you will see, there are a couple of our usual suspects such as Punting and visits to the fantastic Kings College and St Johns College but we also have a couple of new activities. Have you ever been to Kettles Yard, Castle Hill or the Polar Museum? Remember all the activities in Orange are free of charge! As well as this we offer you cake and a chat. Everyone loves cake and most people love having a chat, so take this opportunity to practice your English whilst feasting on some tasty treats! Remember to keep an eye on Facebook and our blog for extra activities and more information on some of our other services such as visits from our careers advisor from Edugold. If you want more information, see Mike or Kathrin on the front desk!
From Monday 2nd September, EC Cambridge’s location is changing. Currently, EC Cambridge is split across two buildings. They are only a two minute walk from each other, but ideally we all want to be together in one place. So after many years of hard work, EC Cambridge has finally got its wish! Welcome to Gibson House! 14 Brand new classrooms all with interactive whiteboards. On top of this theres is a brand new computer room kitted out with the latest technology. There is also an excellent new Library. If that was not enough, there is a separate computer area just for students and plenty of seating if you just want to sit back and relax. So if you are looking for an English course in Cambridge, why not come and join us in this fantastic central location.
What sets us apart at EC Cambridge, is the great range of courses we offer. Most schools offer General and Intensive English but at EC Cambridge we have more than this and a lot of flexibility. If you are looking for a Business English course in Cambridge, then look no further. At EC Cambridge, we offer not one, not two but three Business English options! Option one is a mixture of Business English and General English. You study for 4.5 hours per day. For 3 hours, you study English in General. As well as learning vocabulary and grammar, you get lots of practice, speaking, listening reading and writing. The other 1.5 hours is spent focusing on Business English. The second option is English for work. Again you study for 4.5 hours per day but all the lesson is based around work and Business. Your English will still improve in General, but work and business is the main focus here. If you want something more specific, then the third option might be for you. Business 1-2-1 classes give you the chance to focus on your specific needs. These can also be taken alongside the first two options and you can do as little as 45 minutes twice a week to as many as 30 lessons per week. So if you are looking for a Business English Course in Cambridge, check out our main website or send us an enquiry for more information.
